Delete your account

You can delete your Colletta account yourself. You’re signed out at once, and after 30 days your personal details are erased. Until then you can change your mind.

  • Hand over workspaces you own alone. If you’re the only Owner of a workspace that has other members, make someone else an Owner first, in Settings under Members. Colletta lists these workspaces and won’t delete your account until each one has another Owner. If you’d rather nobody keeps it, you can delete the workspace instead.
  • Export what you want to keep. A workspace nobody else is a member of is deleted along with your account. Colletta lists these too. Download anything you want to keep first.
  1. Choose Settings at the bottom of the sidebar, then Delete account under Your account.

Deleting your account needs a recent sign-in. If your last sign-in was more than 10 minutes ago, choose Sign in again and complete sign-in. You come back to this page, and you then have 10 minutes to confirm.

  2. Read what will happen, then type your email address or the word delete.

  3. Choose Delete my account.

If you own a workspace, Colletta may ask you to sign in with two-factor first.

  • You’re signed out on every device, and any documents you have open close.
  • Your API tokens and connected apps stop working.
  • Your name, email address, picture, settings and notifications are erased, and you’re removed from your workspaces.
  • Comments, suggestions and edits you made stay in their workspaces, shown as “Former member”.
  • Documents and images you added stay too, because they belong to the workspace.

This can’t be undone. Copies in backups are removed as those backups expire.

Sign in again within the 30 days and choose Cancel deletion. Your account is back as it was, except that your old API tokens and connected apps stay stopped. Create new tokens and reconnect the apps you still need.
