Your first document
To create a document you need an Owner, Admin or Member role, and permission to edit the folder you create it in. Viewers can read, comment and suggest changes by default, but can’t create documents.
- In the sidebar, choose New document beside Search or in the + menu beside Documents, or in a folder’s … menu to create it there.
- Type a title. Under Start from, keep Blank document or pick a template. If you’re new, try Getting started: a short tour of Colletta with a checklist of things to try.
- Choose Create draft. The document opens and you can start typing.
A new document is a draft: only you can see it until you publish it. Invite co-authors with Co-authors, and when it’s ready, choose Publish so everyone who can open the folder can read it.
There is no save button. Colletta saves as you type, and everyone with the document open sees your changes as you make them. The header says saved once everything has reached the server.
