Delete a workspace
Owners only. Deleting a workspace removes it for everyone in it. For 30 days you can bring it back. After that, it’s gone for good.
Before you start
Section titled “Before you start”Download all first if you want a copy of the documents. If an import into the workspace is still running, wait for it to finish or cancel it.
Delete the workspace
Section titled “Delete the workspace”- Open Settings at the bottom of the sidebar, then General. Delete workspace is the last section, in red.
- Type the workspace’s name.
- Choose Delete workspace.
Everyone in the workspace loses access straight away:
- documents they have open close,
- API tokens made for that workspace stop working,
- its public links stop working.
Deleting or restoring a workspace may ask for two-factor sign-in.
Restore a deleted workspace
Section titled “Restore a deleted workspace”For 30 days, any Owner of the workspace can bring it back:
- Open your account menu at the bottom of the sidebar and choose Deleted workspaces.
- Choose Restore next to the workspace.
Everything comes back as it was, for everyone who was in it, except public links. Those stay stopped, so make them again if you need them.
After 30 days
Section titled “After 30 days”The workspace and everything in it, including documents, history, comments and images, is removed for good. It can’t be restored.
